LICENSING - IN PLAIN ENGLISH

Short version: copy it, remake it, improve it, teach with it, sell it. 

One rule only: whatever you pass on, you keep this same licence. 
Nobody gets to fence this off as "intelectual property". 

This is called "share-alike" (or "copyleft").

Rent is evil.



TWO DIFFERENT LICENCES FOR HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE

1. THE HARDWARE / DESIGN FILES  ->  CERN-OHL-S v2 (Strongly Reciprocal)
   The DXF, SVG, STL, STEP and anything the parts-generators create.
   CERN-OHL-S is purpose-built for physical designs, which Creative
   Commons handles awkwardly. If you modify the design and distribute the
   product or the files, you keep the design files open under this licence.

2. THE WORDS / PICTURES / DOCS  ->  CC BY-SA 4.0
   This guide, the parts guide, the assembly instructions, photos and
   diagrams. Remix and republish freely; keep the result under the same
